Watch me go speechless as the results are different from what I expected. Especially since I SHOULD have expected these results.
Normally when I dip dye yarn I create a dyebath, warm it up and then slowly submerge the fiber. I wondered what would happen if I quickly added the fiber to the dye and then slowly removed it. Would I see red all over that got progressively more purple? Or would the red strike so fast that I wouldn't get the gradient I expected? I ended up dyeing two different skeins to see if I could get this to work.
