What is the use of doing the 9's and 10's complement of a decimal number?
The use of 9's and 10's complement is to do the subtraction of 2 decimal numbers.

How to do 9's and 10's Complement of a Decimal Number
9's Complement:
Subtract every digit of the decimal number from 9.
For example, consider the decimal number 78.
To find the 9's complement of 78 we have to subtract every digit of 78 from 9.
The result of the subtraction is
Therefore, 21 is the 9's complement of 78.
10's Complement:
Add 1 to the 9's complement of the given number.
For example, consider the decimal number 78.
To find the 10's complement of the 78 we have to find the 9's complement first.
The 9's complement of 78 is 21 as shown above.
Now we have to add 1 to 21.
21 + 1 = 22.
Therefore the 10's complement of 78 is 22.
