We found some rare 8mm film color footage from the 1970s! This footage was filmed by Rick and Ron Anderson, AKA "Anderson Bros."
In this video, we will flashback to the legendary VW event at Orange County International Raceway, "Bug-In #6," held in 1971.
"Anderson Bros," Rick and Ron's '56 VW called "Here Comes Da Bug" was powered by a 2180cc (133 cubic inch) turning out 230 hp and marked an ET of 12.07 at 109.63 mph.
The 2180 cc engine was prepared by Deano Dyno Soars Inc. Estimates his engine cost to be close to $2100 or a total of $4200in parts alone for the car.
Cyclone Products used the Bug as the advertising VW for 1970.
