We start at Costa Calma and leave the paved roads after a short while. After a few kilometers on the east coast we reach a viewpoint overlooking the south of the island and make a short stop.
From here we cross the island and drive a mixture of gravel and country roads to the next stop on the wild west coast. We continue on foot in one of the most interesting landscapes of this island and our guide explains how it all came about and how the island got its current shape 20.6 million years ago. Now the paths become a little more demanding up to Playa Ugan. From here our path leads over gravel roads, past a goat farm to Playa La Pared on the west coast. What happens now depends on the tides, either we easily reach one of the most beautiful places on this island at Punta Guadelupe, or we have to climb a little to reach this point. Either way, tiring or not, it's always worth it. With a bit of luck, Charly and Lorena, the two ravens with their small deposits, will accompany us there.
Now it's time for a coffee before taking the country road back to Costa Calma.
