Beaver meat is one of the most important tools in a trapper's toolbox, but it can be difficult to catch beavers once winter has set in. Key steps include: determining if a beaver house is "live" or "active", choosing between baited free hanging traps or entrance sets, finding the entrance and properly positioning the trap, not falling through holes in the ice, and many more.
