This piece is one of the most peaceful I know.
It’s an arrangement of the song Mille Regretz(Thousand regrets) by Josquin des Prez intabluated for the vihuela,a guitar like instrument with 6 double strings. The vihuela was a popular instrument in Spain during the 16:th century while the lute was played in the rest of Europe.
Canción del Emperador,the Emperors Song,might have been Charles the 5:ths favourite song. He was known as Carlos 1 in Spain and ruled during Narváez life time.
