1999 INTERNATIONAL BONFIRE BURNUP GRASSTRACK - PART 1

The International Bonfire Burn-up was at this time the most anticipated and traditionally last meeting of the Grasstrack Racing season in the UK. With a start studded line-up of International Superstars from Grasstrack & Speedway, this was probably the best Bonfire Burn-up there ever was. With riders including Australian Speedway star Jason Crump, World Longtrack Champion Gerd Riss from Germany, and British stars such as Joe Screen, Jeremy Doncaster, and the people's favourite Steve Schofield all after the £1000 first prize. The racing was fantastic, with every heat like a Final.
The 1000cc RH Sidecars also being packed full of the very best crews in the country. Could Roger Measor/Shane Lapham pull off another tremendous win? Would it be multi British Champions Steve Smith/Keith Wall's title? With a whole host of crews snapping at their heels, a fantastic 1999 International Bonfire Burn-up would be guaranteed.
