“The Carriage Wheel Murder” by Carach Angren! I’ve been wanting to record more Carach for a while, and with Halloween just around the corner, I figured what better time for another black metal ghost story? This time, I went all the way back to their debut album, Lammendam—while it’s a bit rough around the edges in some ways, I’ve always really enjoyed it. They managed to capture a certain raw energy on their debut that I think they’ve never quite managed to achieve again, and I love the more guitar-oriented sound.
