The "Islam and Contemporary Issues" lecture series is an attempt to allow the general community to listen in to a conversation taking place between Muslim intellectuals and modernity.
We try to challenge many modern assumptions from an academic standpoint to help educate our community and improve the level of discourse they and we engage in.
This is part of an endeavor to move away from conspiracy theories based on ignorance which lead to suspicion, ridicule and fuel isolation and fear of the 'other'. Views expressed by the speakers are not endorsed by nor do they necessarily reflect the views of the foundation.
