Welcome back to another episode of my Great Himalaya Trail (GHT) series!
In this episode, I begin the transition from Upper Dolpo toward the iconic Phoksundo Lake. To get there, I must conquer two massive high-altitude passes. Today, I am taking on the first one: Numala Pass at 5,320 meters.
The challenge? I am solo, and a massive snowstorm has completely covered the trail. With no footprints to follow and visibility dropping, this became a true test of physical and mental endurance. Watch as I navigate through waist-deep snow and freezing temperatures to reach Lower Dolpo.
