Review of the Ideal Industries Vol-Con Elite. This is a combined stick meter (Electrical tester) combined with a Non-Contact Voltage Tester (NCVT). Unlike a typical Digital Multimeter (DMM) this electrical tester has no display, instead it indicates the approximate voltage using a LED scale. For AC the range is 24v to 600v, and DC the scale is 6V to 220V.
This electrical tester made by Ideal Industries is UL and CE tested, the inputs are rated to 1000v DC, or 750V AC. It also incorporates a shaker which gives it a similar feel t a traditional solenoid tester.
It's well built, feels good quality, and is a good compromise between a digital multimeter (DMM) and NCVT. These are often referred to as stick meters.
