First Snowmobile Ride, Terrible ending. Bancroft, Lake St. Peter, Baptiste Lake, Gilmour Trails

The trails are open! And we had out for an early start to the season. Riding the beautiful snowmobile trails around Bancroft Ontario. We start off in Gilmour and head north, through Bancroft and going as far north as Lake St. Peter. We looped back and crossed the fast moving Baptiste Lake and connected to the Heritage Trail in Bird's Creek.
Thanks to the hard work of sled volunteers from the Old Hastings Snow Riders and the Maple Leaf Snow Skimmers we had some excellent table top trails.
On this ride was Rob on his Arctic Cat F1100 Turbo (ZR9000/Sidewinder), Chase on his Yamaha Nitro and Steve (first snowmobile ride!) on his Yamaha Venture.
You will see we had a blast and almost made it home with all smiles until and unlucky breakdown paused the fun. The Arctic Cat through a stud into the heat exchanger and bled coolant out. Hopefully it will be running strong again soon!
We hope to continue the fun in this snowy winter. Enjoy the ride!!
