Fennpfuhl is a locality of Lichtenberg. It was planned and realised in the 1970s and 1980s and therefore is dominated by GDR architecture. On my tour I visit the oldest building of the locality from 1905/06, discover the beautiful Fennpfuhlpark and check out a former colony in which Hans Rosenthal hid during the Nazi regime.
Follow me on a short but sunny walk from the very West to the very East of one of the smallest but densest of Berlin's localities.
"Berlin's 96 Localities" is a series of episodes on all of Berlin's localities. I visit them in random order and portray some of the key features. Feel free to send me any feedback on the series or on a particular episode.
