The Orange County Teen Murders: Issiah Ross on Trial
Issiah Ross is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the 2022 killings of 18-year-old Devin Clark and 14-year-old Lyric Woods. They were found shot and killed along Buckhorn Road in Orange County, North Carolina. Prosecutors allege the teens were shot execution-style, while the defense maintains Ross acted in self-defense and argues Clark was responsible for Woods’ death. This case helped prompt changes to North Carolina law known as “Devin and Lyric’s Law,” which allows authorities to release identifying information about juveniles accused of serious crimes under certain conditions.
