Fixing a Frayed Denim Hem: An Invisible Fix

So I am not usually a fan of the frayed hem look because it often looks messier and messier with each wash and significantly shortens the life of a garment. However, being pregnant and on a budget is not easy when trying to buy maternity clothes. So I found these jeans on super discount and overlooked the hem. After just 1 wash the hem already looked much more distressed and needed a trim. I knew that these pants would not last long if I didn’t take action.

Now you may be thinking: "how long do these actually need to last??" Well they would likely survive one pregnancy but I would like to use them again if I get pregnant again. Either way, I also want to pass them on to another mom to be, so that they can be warn as much as possible before the end of their life.

So in this tutorial I walk you through how I reinforced the hem on these jeans in a way that the fix is invisible when wearing the jeans.
