(Elsmere - Pocopson) Via The East Penn Railroad (Jan 2020)

We continue our trek back in time.

It's January 2020, right before the Pandemic when life was normal. I got home from school and had an open afternoon to myself. After hearing East Penn was getting permission into CSX's Wilsmere Yard that's where I set off to go. The Wilmington Northern Branch is East Penn's main thoroughfare from CSX in Elsmere and NS up in Coatesville. Along with the Brandywine River Valley which operates in Coatesville with the Steel Mill and a couple other little industries nearby. The WN Branch is mainly just a through line with all the industries and businesses off along the Octoraro Branch which splits off at Chadds Ford and runs out to Oxford. I got down to Elsmere just in time. Right as I pulled in they called the light back to their Railroad and off they went.

Power for the train back north was 1800/2179. 1800 being an Ex-NYSW GP18 and 2179 which is a GP38-2. We'll follow them up through Northern Delaware into PA where they'll call it a night. I had footage of them too at Chadds Ford Jct but I forgot to turn the Mic on. Rookie mistake.
