10000 Miles, from the Film "Fly Away Home", composed by Mark Isham

In 1996, a wonderful family film named, "Fly Away Home", was released to theaters. Starring Jeff Daniels and Anna Pacquin, it did very well. Its soundtrack, composed by Hollywood composer Mark Isham, contained a beautiful 6 minute song named "10,000 miles", sung by Mary Chapin Carpenter and played by a full symphony. It became a top seller on its own and is still beloved by many of the film's fans.

No formal sheet music was ever printed for the song, even though demand for the sheet music from the public was high. Now, after 26 years, I am very pleased to release a complete arrangement of 10,000 Miles as heard in the film, including a full symphonic set of sheet music containing 10 instruments. It includes all the notes for the song, with grand piano, solo violin, lyrics, symphonic strings, horns, synths and cymbals. The piano in particular was very difficult to compose, but thanks to the ear of a very gifted musician named Roman Meshcheriakov, who I collaborated with, it has been written flawlessly and forms the basis of this stirring score.
