Bramber Castle 2: The Rise and Fall of the House of Braose

My first video for the channel was about Bramber Castle, a ruined Norman castle in Sussex that was founded in 1071 by William de Braose. At the time I said that I would be producing a Part 2, one that would cover the family who built the castle and maintained it for its first 250 years. This is that video!

Research for this video gave me so much material that using all of it would have produced a video at least an hour in length. I then cut that version down and was still sitting at 40 minutes long! Subsequent cuts (I lost track of how many, actually), has boiled it down to this 25 minute long video. I could write a book about this little nook of English history, and in fact, the original over-long script forms a great basis for one.
