Mike Major is an engineer and mixer who has worked with acclaimed indie and alternative rock artists like At The Drive-In, Coheed and Cambria, As Tall As Lions and many more.
In this MixCon masterclass, he cracks open a real mix from the band Madus to show us his approach to mixing drums, from time and phase-aligning elements of the kit to working with EQ, compression and effects.
