Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) is a rare, life-threatening blood disorder that causes microscopic blood clots to form in small blood vessels throughout the body. These clots can limit or block blood flow to organs, such as the brain, kidneys, and heart, which can prevent them from working properly and cause damage
Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura affects people of all ages, but it mostly occurs in people aged 20 to 50.
