悬空寺原叫“玄空阁”，位于山西省大同市浑源县城东南4千米恒山磁窑峡（亦称金龙峡） 翠屏峰西侧，是儒释道三教合一的寺庙建筑群。 悬空寺是中国现存较早、保存较为完好的高空木构摩崖建筑，被唐代大诗人李白赞为“壮观”，被明代大旅行家徐霞客惊叹为“天下巨观。
The Hanging Temple, originally named "Xuankong Pavilion," is located 4 kilometers southeast of Hunyuan County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, on the west side of Cuiping Peak in Hengshan Ciyao Gorge (also known as Jinlong Gorge). It is a temple complex that integrates Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. The Hanging Temple is one of the earliest and best-preserved high-altitude wooden cliff-carved buildings in China. It was praised as "magnificent" by the great Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai and astonished as "a wonder of the world" by the great Ming Dynasty traveler Xu Xiake.
