We are excited to announce that Awakening Records will reissue BLOODSOAKED's "Frost Image" on vinyl and cassette. It is a primitive, vicious, lethal, stench Death Metal masterpiece!

BLOODSOAKED is considered one of the progenitors in the Mexican death metal scene. It was one of the first bands to do this style of music in the country when the band formed in 1989. Their debut full-length album, "Frost Image," was originally released as a limited edition of 1,000 cassettes on May 29, 1993. Recorded and mixed at Opus Audio Studios between Sept. 17-20, 1992, it was produced by the band and Rock 'n' Roll Circus.

Once the dramatic buildup of album opener "Became Frost Image" descends, the band launches into a lethal attack of chugging distortion-laden guitar riffs, wailing guitar histrionics, and explosive drum fills. Those vicious, gurgled vocal inflections roam through the speakers like a possessed demon. The band's atypical haunting keyboard ambiance permeates tracks "Frigid Presence" and album closer "Missing the Light," giving BLOODSOAKED an added element to their savage musical assault.

For Rodriguez and Edward, after more than 30 years since its original release, the newly remastered and reissued "Frost Image" through Awakening Records feels like a fresh start. "It's finally coming out on vinyl and with a fresh audio restoration," they state. "Most importantly, we've had labels trying to put it out on vinyl before, and the deals never came to fruition. So, it is a great feeling knowing it is in the works."

We are incredibly grateful for Chaos Records' outstanding support for this reissue! The label provides expertly restored and remastered audio files from 2015, created by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studio. L.F at Krucyator Productions has once again collaborated with us to master the vinyl, cassette, and digital formats exclusively. Hand-painted by the talented Julian Mortuus, the new artwork continues and expands on the BLOODSOAKED cover concept. We will present the complete artwork on a sturdy vinyl gatefold jacket!
