My day began by stepping out of the charming Belgrade Old Town, eager to discover more of the city's rich history and diverse character. We'll start our exploration by admiring the architectural magnificence of the Belgrade Old Palace and the neighbouring Belgrade New Palace, both standing as testaments to Serbia's royal past.

Just a stone's throw away, the stately House of the National Assembly of Serbia speaks to the country's enduring democratic spirit. Along the way, keep an eye out for the charming sight of old trams rumbling through the streets, adding a touch of nostalgic charm to the urban landscape. And of course, no visit to this area would be complete without appreciating the striking beauty of St. Mark's Orthodox Church, with its distinctive architecture.

However, Belgrade's story isn't just about its triumphs; it also bears the scars of its recent history. We'll confront the solemn sight of the NATO bombed-out buildings, stark reminders of the 1999 conflict. These structures, still standing in various states of disrepair, serve as powerful monuments to resilience and a poignant testament to the city's turbulent past, inviting reflection on the impact of war.

The journey then takes a dramatic turn as we immerse ourselves in the electrifying world of the Nikola Tesla Museum.
