Dancing On Ice - Series 3 Titles

We were all very excited about this project and relished the challenge of capturing both the strength & beauty of ice dancing, while also exhibiting Torvill & Dean as an inspiration to what can be achieved within this discipline. The atmospheric environment Torvill & Deans routine was set in took great influence from many of their famous performances. These in turn helped inspire an almost otherworldly, Midsummer Nights Dream-esque landscape, that felt boundless, timeless & freeing. In particular this influence came out through the dynamic use of lighting effects such as moonlight, and the magical embers & glows which exuded from their graceful performance. Adding to this concept was the idea of freezing time and traveling, literally, through a frozen space. Use of this technique captured the dynamism of Torvill & Dean from a previously unseen perspective, it brought the viewer closer to their performance, heightening all the excitement, difficulty & beauty of ice dancing.
It was the very first light entertainment title sequence to feature the Time-Slice® camera effect.
