Headstart: House Justice Panel Chairperson and Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro confirmed on Monday (January 26) that there is currently no impeachment case being processed in the House of Representatives, but she anticipates the filing of other impeachment complaints against President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
She confirmed that the Secretary General has no prerogative to decide whether to accept an impeachment case or not.
Luistro emphasized the importance of neutrality, adding that members and staff of the House of Representatives should be conscious of the need to remain independent and impartial throughout the impeachment process
