edits of couples i cannot stand (and some that i love)

This was originally supposed to be 'couples i cannot stand' but it was too painful to make so i had to do a couple that i like and then it morphed in to this so just in time for valentines day ❤️

0:07 - DAN AND SERENA (stileshoe)
ok so I was actually ok with these guys when they first got together but throughout the show i felt as though they drifted apart and it seemed very forced and unnatural when they got back together at the end of the show. Dan was also horrible to serena throughout the show, trashing her on gossip girl and in his novel. In short nate was better for serena, he loved her throughout the whole show and was always there for her when she needed her.

at the end of s4 she had done all this awful stuff and then after the time jump they're together with no explanation (even any flashbacks throughout s5) and we're just supposed to accept that, honestly it just seems that jason is trying to fuck over bellarke shippers as he likes to.

1:44 - KLAUS AND CAROLINE (desiresaltavore)
look similar to dan and serena i just felt as though these two had drifted apart throughout the series and i think it felt very forced when they tried to bring it back in s7 and then again in the originals and it felt as though they were trying to just please fans. If we're looking at the progression of the show as a whole caroline's relationship with stefan just seems to follow a more natural progression and doesn't feel as forced.

they are SIBLINGS... ok not biologically but by marriage yes. This relationship feels very forced and also japril is forever endgame and nobody can change my mind about that (also who actually like jaggie because i couldn't find a single edit that wasn't a joke one)

4:46 - BETTY AND JUGHEAD (sweetpea.vs)
look i had no issue with these two before they got together but once they did I just couldn't stand it, they are very cringe in the way they talk to eachother and honestly it may just be a personal preference thing but to me the relationship seems very forced in an attempt to please fans. I think most of the hype behind these characters is because lili and cole is together irl. barchie is endgame in the comics and i'm hoping they will at least explore it to some extent and not ignore an iconic couple to please millions of twelve year old bugheads.

look to be quite honest it just comes down to chemistry with these two, i just don't personally think they are very well suited. i think that this is a perfect example of when the two main characters of a show don't have to just be paried off together as i think both is much better suited in their other relationships within the show.

7:19 - EMILY AND JACK (revenge.love)
the show just seemed to be coupling these two off from the first episode and it felt so boring and predictable. I much prefered her relationships with daniel and aiden. but considering they're real world soulamates i decided to include daniel and also because i thought it would have been cute if they ended up together to show that maybe forgiveness is better than revenge.

honestly this was meant to be liam and kathryn instead of rillow but apparently nobody else can stand them as there was zero edits of them anywhere. Willow and liam had much more development and I liked how willow was the first romantic interest for liam that was actually built off of friendship and compatibility instead of lust. also robert gives me bad vibes i don't like the guy idk...

10:14 - MEREDITH AND DELUCA (x.merluca)
will any of merediths future relationships live up to merder? no. but this just seems so off to me and it seems very odd that the show is exploring it. meredith obviously deserves to be happy but i think that out of her current romantic interests i think her and lincoln are more compatible, i think he's more outgoing and fun which helps to balance out her 'dark and twisty' side and he would be better with her kids than deluca.

Honestly these two were pretty cute but like he is a stalker and murderer so pretty toxic
