Disneyland Park - 1978 - Vintage Film - Original Magic Kingdom

This vintage film was taken sometime in 1978.
You can see the monorail, tram, front entrance, Main Street, pirate ship, Skyway, people mover, and so much more.
Random thoughts from this video:
• This was the trip that triggered my Disney fandom for the rest of my life
• Yes, that's my Dad in that nice blue pantsuit.
• I’m really vibing my mom’s red pants
• I grew up in Saskatchewan so this was literally the biggest thing that ever happened to me and probably was the biggest thing until I moved to Georgia when I was 18
• I simply cannot believe people actually smoked all over Disneyland
• The tram looks like a tractor pulling a bunch of carts
• The part of the video where I was chasing the dwarves was quickly followed by one of them slamming his big plastic foot down on my foot. Given that I was wearing white plastic shoes myself, I remember that I felt quite a lot of pain
• Speaking of shoes, how did I even wear those for a day at Disneyland?
• We stayed in the Disneyland hotel in the bungalows. They are no longer there, but I have vivid memories of looking out patio windows and seeing palm trees. I also remember the boardwalk leading up to the pool. Every time I go there now I walk down toward the hotel and I getting the same feeling I had when I was a kid
• I still have my Minnie Mouse and Princess Charm bracelet that I got as souvenirs on this trip
• We were supposed to stay for two weeks, but my Mom got sick of being there so we went home early
• Yes, I know that’s pretty crazy. She didn’t like to travel
• She was bored of California and promptly flew us back to -30 weather in the middle of a very snowy winter. I question her sanity
• I probably wasn’t hugged enough as a child
• This version of Mickey was kind of scary but I still felt like I was meeting a celebrity
• Why did they tear down the Skull and pirate ship?
• If I could go back in time I would go back to this day, just to see the Disneyland hotel like that again
