My Mum and Dad, the reasons for my rally passion, finished their last road rally in 1982.
Since the announcement that I’d be entering Rali Cilwendeg, I’ve been working with the MiloSport team to get myself ready for the challenge of the West Wales road rally crown jewel.
What followed was an exploration of grass roots rallying, a journey which has taught me so much about the sport I love, and reminded me why I love it.
I set out to tell the story in a way that gets across the technical and physical challenge, something which celebrates the people behind the scenes, the fans along the route.
Above all, I wanted to somehow share the excitement of the build-up, then the intense experience of being in the thick of the drama through the night.
This was a big one for me; a dream 43 years in the making.
The atmosphere, the buzz, the history, the theatre, the lanes, the people…the adventure.
