How To Customize Cardstock Paper With Toner Foil | DigitalHeat FX i560
Foiling on Cardstock is a wonderful way to promote a business or special event with eye-catching designs and logos. Holly Wood, Product Manager at ColDesi, is going to show you how to create these stunning creations.

To make these dramatic cardstock designs you will need:
DigitalHeat FX i560 toner printer
Hotronix Fusion IQ Heat Press
Specialty Foil
Rotary Cutter
Uncoated smooth Cardstock Paper
Scissors

The Specialty Toner Foils will adhere to any color toner but black works and looks the best, so that is what is recommended. Preheat the heat press to 285 and load the cardstock onto the printer. Open the design file and make sure to select the correct setting in the Print Optimizer Software to yield the best results.

Once printed, trim the design to the proper size using the rotary trimmer. Using scissors cut the specialty foil to a size that will cover the piece of cardstock and check the back to make sure it is free from any imperfections or scratches. Finally, gently wipe down the surface of the foil and print to make sure there aren't any particles that will be in the way of the transfer.

Place in heat press with the design on the card stock face up and the dull side of the foil on top of it. Press for 10 seconds at medium pressure. Once complete, lay it on a cool surface and let it cool to the touch. After it has cooled roll the foil off the front to reveal the dramatic foil design!
