The steering got hard on my Massey Ferguson 245 diesel. It would get a little better if I revved up the engine, but even then. I could only turn the wheel slowly. I did a little Internet research and learned that my power steering pump filter was likely clogged. I replaced the filter and the problem went away. The steering is back to normal.
