Plot:
Elena and Bucky have a past together, specifically in Hydra.
Elena was an innocent bystander and saw the Winter Soldier up close.
Bucky, once he comes to his senses, looks for Elena and when they meet again she is shocked; she thought she was done with the past but she can't move on, neither can he.
Together they face their demons, falling in love.
After an assassination attempt he is blamed and Natasha tries to stop Elena from joining him at a secret base. Zemo wants revenge and to do so he uses the Winter Soldier, he must destroy the Avengers.
Elena is an obstacle for Zemo, because she is the only one who can save him.
Elena is found after a car accident and almost dies.
Tony finds evidence of her, it was the Winter Soldier who hurt her.
Bucky comes to his senses, he is upset but Elena loves and forgives him.
Together they go on, get married and have a child. Because all Bucky ever wanted was peace.
