The GTe14 is the latest offering from Pelican Bus & Coach and Yutong. It's a battery-electric tri-axle coach designed for both intercity travel and high-value private hire, boasting an impressive range and comfort features. With a length of 13.97 metres, the GTe14 has a maximum seating capacity of 61 passengers, though many operators are expected to opt for a configuration with 57 seats for added comfort.
One of the standout features of this coach is its range, with an option for a 422 kWh battery providing around 200 miles on a full charge, or a more powerful 563 kWh battery offering up to 280 miles. The GTe14 incorporates Yutong’s reliable CATL battery packs and ZF axles for enhanced performance. It also meets the PSVAR standards, including a lift at the centre door for wheelchair access. The coach offers 8.25 cubic metres of luggage capacity, making it ideal for longer-distance trips.
This model is part of Yutong’s growing electric vehicle range in the UK, complementing their success with electric buses. The GTe14 features advanced technology like the Yutong Electric Safety System (YESS) and a rear-view camera system.
