As college enrollment declines, interest in transfer students surges, often without consideration of the infrastructure or culture required to facilitate their success. With over a million of these mobile learners participating in higher education, it is critical that institutions execute a meaningful strategy to move students from pre-matriculation to engaged learning. This responsibility includes many faculty and staff, and often begins with the enrollment professionals who serve as students' first lifeline to their new institution. This interactive session focuses on understanding the totality of the transfer student journey so departments and individuals can identify their role in the transfer ecosystem. We'll explore critical touch points and develop the beginnings of a protocol for meaningfully connecting students to those who can propel them toward their goals.
