This video covers the VMP Apex Predator closed lid cold air intake for the 2020-2022 Shelby GT500. I have done many, many track events with the stock Ford intake on my CFTP. I then upgraded to the JLT and noticed some gains. I upgraded one more time to the VMP intake and have seen gains over the JLT intake. The video shows my top speeds attained on the 2 straights at Circuit Of The Americas COTA with both the JLT & the VMP intakes in similar conditions. The VMP intake footage was captured on the last lap of a session (engine quite warm). The closed lid design of the VMP does a nice job of keeping the engine bay warm air out of the intake resulting in more power on warm days.
The second part of the video shows removal of the JLT unit and installation of the VMP Apex Predator intake.
