Here's a little change of pace. My first trad lead placing gear myself. I've been practicing this year by leading lots of trad routes with preplaced gear, everything from 5.8 to 5.11+. It's been a ton of fun to get on to different terrain and do different movements from sport routes. Snuffed out Cat is a nice juggy route that follows an obvious crack from the ground and finishes on an easy face. Don't make the same mistake I did and let your rope get sucked into the crack. I'm still working on finding placements and getting the nuances worked out. My climbing partner lead the route after me and gave feedback. That being said, I was pretty happy with how I did and surprisingly happy with how cool the route was. Definitely don't miss this one if you climb trad and are in the area!
