Here's a quick video about the "Missing" centre peg on the F3 series Can Am Spyders.

Bad knee, bad hip or just need a leg up and some help to get on and off
your F3 series Can Am Spyder, no worries, we have for you the missing
centre peg. It's just in the right place, not to high not to low and never in
the way. Some of you want to use the passenger peg but find that unfortunately it puts a stress on your knee because it's just to high or if you just try to swing your leg over your putting your hip in a twisting motion you would rather not !
All that is over, this centre peg it just like stepping on the first stair in a staircase and it allows you to keep holding on to the handlebars for safety and balance while you can control the hop and over movement require to take seat on your Spyder. It comes in a pair so if getting on the Spyder is best for you on the right but your passenger gets on and off on the left, every body does it easily.
