Today we'll take a walk through Frankfurt's central district, Innenstadt.

After the Christmas and New Year holidays, the city saw a noticeable decline in tourists and visitors. However, some tourists still took to the streets of Frankfurt to explore the city and take interesting photos, despite the freezing temperatures that had descended on the region.

We will start our journey at Hauptwache and then follow the Rossmarkt.
The history of Rossmarkt dates back to the Middle Ages, when in 1332 Emperor Louis of Bavaria granted Frankfurt permission to expand the city.

This area remained sparsely populated for a long time. Numerous farmsteads were located here until almost the 19th century. Thousands of horses were sold annually in the area where Rossmarkt now stands.

The walk continues along Kaiserstrasse, where we admire the skyscrapers of Frankfurt's business district and Kaiserplatz.

Next we go out to the Willy-Brandt-platz area and return back towards Hauptwache.
Walking along Kaiserstrasse, we notice the beauty of the Frankfurter Hof Hotel, which is an architectural monument.
The hotel was built between 1872 and 1876. From the very beginning, it was one of the leading establishments in the Frankfurt hospitality industry.

Our walk ends on Kaiserstrasse, which leads into Rossmarkt.
