I was humbled when asked to create the Official Music Video for RIVVRS' song CONQUER off his new album Unfamiliar Skin. I was even more humbled that it would serve as a dedication to my beautiful wife Kari, whom passed away from ‪Cystic Fibrosis‬ last August.

This project means so much to me in so many ways, and it fills me with so much emotion. I shed a lot of tears (both happy and sad) creating this video - as it features the last footage we ever filmed together. It was quite an adventure making this, but every time I see her face on the screen I immediately feel at home. When I first heard this song, I instantly thought of Kari and how it exemplified her spirit and her courage. It made me think of how she fought for her life every single day with Cystic Fibrosis, and how she never let the disease defeat her. She never let it define her. She would always fight and never back down. This song perfectly depicts her unwavering strength and courage to never give up, and to never let life’s challenges keep her down.

Everyone has something in their lives that is a challenge to them - something they need to conquer. Kari fought every one of her challenges head on. And no matter how hard things got, she always conquered them. This is a wonderful and powerful song that I think can be applied to everyone. I'm grateful to have been asked to be a part of this journey. Kari is my greatest love, my best friend, my biggest inspiration, and my muse. I hope everyone has the fight and determination Kari had, and no matter what happens, continues to fight, dream, breathe, believe, and ultimately - Conquer.
