Our first week in Chiang Mai

We’ve been exploring beautiful Chiang Mai this week – staying in the old city, visiting night markets, parks and meeting new friends who are also travelling with kids!

It’s such a gorgeous, relaxed city and much cooler than Bangkok which is why there are so many expats and people travelling long term with kids here.

We’re planning to stay for a couple more weeks until after Christmas so much more exploring to do…and Jai is very eager to see some elephants while we’re here 🐘

We’re Cath, Jeff and Jai and we’re packing up our lives to travel the world as a family.
We are all UK and also Australian so the plan is to make our way slowly back to Oz.

So in July 2024 we sold all our belongings, rented out our flat and headed off – first to Europe in our caravan, then to Asia, starting in Thailand, then to Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and eventually Australia 🇦🇺
