Ed Miliband attacks David Cameron over Andrew Mitchell at PMQs

Facing David Cameron across the dispatch box, Ed Miliband goes on the attack over 'plebgate' and the conduct of chief whip Andrew Mitchell at PMQs.

Labour leader Ed Miliband accused the Prime Minister of "total double standards" over Andrew Mitchell's row with Downing Street police.

The Opposition leader claimed David Cameron would support police who locked up a "yob" who swore at officers but refused to sack his chief whip for the same offence.

As the leaders clashed at the first Prime Minister's questions since Mr Mitchell's altercation at the gates of Downing Street, Mr Cameron insisted the chief whip's apology had been accepted and accused Mr Miliband of having "nothing serious to say about the country".
