2014 Florida Challenge HPRA Velodrome Trike Race

2014 Florida Challenge HPRA Trike Race, February 8-9th 2014

This is the first racing event of the year for the HPRA series, held at the Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City, Florida. Sunday's events were a 200 meter sprint, the dreaded Kilometer (time trial) and lap races with recumbent bikes and trikes.

This is more of a personal video with over the shoulder video of the 200 meter sprint and inside track lap race. I'm using the same FWD trike I had last year but modified steering and rear frame in a more or less stock configuration.

You know the more I watch this, it looks like I could bring my seat back more to get more leg extension and maybe some more power. Anybody got ideas on that?

A lot of fun! maybe I'll get the hang on the track sometime! I do know next year I'll have a smaller chainring to get more cadence. I thought maybe the video would show the banking and allow viewers who've never been on a velodrome to get a feel of the banking which is 30 degrees.

Fast or slow doesn't matter, as long as you have a good time! I had the camera mounted over my shoulder to give you a sense of being there, and the audio isn't too bad.
