Didn't mean to make a video about Ike this soon but my hand slipped. As I was writing the script and thinking about the subject, everything just started clicking and this is the end product XD... Guess my first two scripted videos being Eik and Ike were simply canon events...

Goals for this video:
Improving as a writer: My first scripted video was a historical documentary recounting a character's history with a clear beginning, middle, and end. While that involves it's own challenges, I wanted to challenge myself by exploring, thinking about, and putting to words a concept with no clear beginning, middle, or end. The format of this video is somewhat similar to the first one, as I began with a simple concept of a plain character with no outstanding characteristics and built them from the ground up. I also wanted to take a swing at blending multiple different media together by highlighting where they overlap. Fire Emblem, as a series beloved for it's characters, stories, music, and visuals, is very similar in this way to kpop, which showcases personalities, lyrics, melodies, fashion, and dancing. I plan on taking another attempt at this kind of blend in the future as this one was heavily focused on Fire Emblem.
Defining my channel: My first scripted video performed much better than I thought it would! I am immensely grateful for the overwhelmingly positive support. I have more I'd like to say about that video and my channel in the future so I'll save that for when I can properly communicate how I feel. But I really wanted to make another heavily edited scripted video that could live up to my first as a way to define the kind of things one could expect to see from this channel. I can't just drop a 1 hour 40 minute documentary and leave it at that right? I didn't expect people to enjoy my writing/editing style so much, as the point of the documentary was simply to tell Eik's history, but I was really happy to see that people enjoyed how I told the story. I love to write and perform, and it is immensely creatively satisfying to put both together through video editing so I wanted to do all that as soon as possible before I continued to release my usual random clips/memes. With this out of the way, perhaps I will continue on with my silly antics hehe...
Limiting myself: When it comes to creative projects, I have a habit of wanting to say/do everything that comes to mind. While this isn't always a bad thing, I wanted to challenge myself to create something with a clearly defined smaller scope. Every line I write signs me up for more lines to record and seconds to edit with visuals. On top of that, extending the video runtime is basically like demanding more of the viewer's time, and not everyone can has the ability to/wants to watch a hour+ long video. So in the interest in both my and the viewer's time, I wanted to make something smaller that I could release faster. I am glad that I was able to accomplish this without leaving anything important out of the video.

I think I'll try and make a habit of writing these descriptions just like I did with my first scripted video like a diary so I can look back and remember where my head was at.
