Travelling north-west on the Monash Freeway commencing at Dandenong South on the South Gippsland Freeway and ending at the start of the Citylink in Kooyong.
With a daily traffic volume around 170,000 according to VicRoads in 2013, the Monash Freeway one of Melbourne's busiest roadways.
The Monash Freeway transverses 34km from Narra Warren to Kooyong. Initially two seperate freeways (Mulgrave Freeway and South Eastern Freeway), the Monash Freeway was amalgamated in 1988.
Recent upgrades to the Monash Frreway has seen the roadway widened from 6 lanes to 8 lanes, with traffic lights set up on the entry ramp to improve traffic flow. Melbourne has one of the world's best road management system!
