What Muslims in The Old City Think of Israel (It's Not What You Think)

We are constantly told by the mainstream media and activists in the UK that Muslims in Jerusalem are oppressed, living as second-class citizens under a brutal Israeli state.

I went to the heart of the Muslim Quarter in Jerusalem's Old City to speak to the people on the ground—the real residents and shopkeepers—to ask them what their life is really like.

I asked them simple, direct questions:

Do you feel safe?
Do you face discrimination?
Do you like or hate Israel?
Would you rather live under the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah?

Their answers will shock you.

What I heard on the ground is a world away from the narrative being pushed at home. As one man told me, the news "doesn't say the truth."

The media won't show you these interviews. They don't want you to hear from real Muslims living peacefully and happily in Israel. They want to push a story of hate and division.
