Abalone are quick and easy to clean!
Easy step-by-step video demonstration on how to clean and prepare fresh abalone.
Put the abalone under cold running water and, with a small sanitized brush, aggressively scrub to remove as much of the black layer as possible.
Scrape the abalone meat out of the shell with a knife or spoon.
Trim off the brown liver and guts with a pair of scissors.
Scrub any dirt off the abalone meat with a scrubbing brush.
Rinse the abalone flesh under a tap water
Now your abalone are ready to prepare
