In this vlog, I start my day in the charming village of Bukit Lawang, where I had begun my jungle safari the day before. I take a relaxed walk through the village, browse its cute local shops, and even pick up some clothes as souvenirs. 🛍️

After checking out of my lodge, I begin my road trip to Medan, the vibrant capital of North Sumatra. Medan is a bustling city with a unique cultural mix, great food, and stunning architecture. After settling into my Airbnb, I step out to explore the city and visit Mariamman temple, an incredible old Hindu temple with beautiful architecture. Many of the people I met here were of South Indian heritage, which isn’t surprising given Medan’s close ties to Malaysia.

As evening falls, I make my way to the lively Asia Mega Mas Night Market, famous for its variety of street food. From tempting snacks to a delicious full dinner, I enjoy a foodie’s paradise before heading back to my Airbnb after a long, eventful day.
