How the AfD attempts to whitewash fascism

In just over 10 years, the far-right Alternative für Deutschland went from being a fringe party seen as too extreme to be a real threat, to the second most popular party in Germany. Many see the AfD as inheritors of the Nazi movement, with law enforcement and intelligence services having declared several of its branches to be confirmed extremist organizations, while the overall party is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, they regularly have strategy meetings with neo-Nazis and other right-wing extremists, to plan for what they’d do when they’re in power. In this video we take a closer look at the party, their rhetoric and how closely their plans echo German history.
