The Prodigy - Baby’s Got a Temper ('02 Beta - ¥$ Reconstruct)  

Before I explain, I would love to give a huge shoutout to these two people! Without them, this rework wouldn’t be as complete as it is!

Sks2002: Sks makes music and has been doing it longer than me so he knows a little more about what he’s doing when it comes to mastering and tweaking sounds! He’s responsible for doing the intro, other sections, and pointed out inaccuracies, he also separated the track in 20 different sections using MVSEP. I was able to organize everything neatly due to this. So please go check out his work and reworks on prodigy warriors! (he also took the cover I made and turned it blue and the text white)

Trawizz: he’s been a fan of the prodigy since 1994 and because of that he has extensive knowledge on prodigy tracks like samples and placement. Because of him he has provided me samples that I thought I couldn’t get my hands on, tweaked sections to make them sound just right and also pointed out inaccuracies during the process of this rework, so please go check out his channel and prodigy edits!

Baby’s Got a Temper has always been that one Prodigy track that kind of got left behind, and honestly, it didn’t have to be that way. The song actually started as a track from Keith Flint’s band Flint called No Name No Number, which was a pretty heavy and aggressive track. Liam later took it into the studio and turned it into the first version of Baby’s Got a Temper, now known as the ’02 live beta. This version was less heavy than the Flint track, but it still had a raw, rocky feel. It was only played live, and fans loved it.

For some reason, Liam didn’t seem happy with how it sounded, at least in my opinion. He took it back into the studio and kind of overcooked it. The final version reused the beat from Diesel Power, and that gritty rock edge was mostly gone. Fans didn’t like it at all, and the track got a lot of negative backlash. Because of that reaction, Liam ended up scrapping the original version of Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned. What we eventually got was the 2004 version instead.

No one ever really tried to recreate the ’02 beta sound. Until now.
Today, I’m changing that.
