This episode is all about "The Clunk". Suspension knocks are always a nuisance to diagnose and solve and on a big heavy car like the L322 I wasn't especially looking forward to getting stuck into this job. However, I started with the easy stuff - the anti-roll bar drop links - and worked from there. Having had a few old cars with knocking suspension bits over the years, nine times out of 10 the knocks ended up coming from the anti-roll bars or the drop links so I figured this was a good place to start. I was hoping it was something simple like the drop links - my worst case scenario, the dreaded anti-roll bar links right at the back of the engine subframe. Horrible access and a tight, tight space.
