Rally de Europe (PS1) Playthrough

This video contains the "Rally de Europe" championship, and the unlocked "Rally de Africa" championship. Once you complete the championship mode, all of the Rally de Africa circuits are unlocked and you can play that championship too.

"Rally de Europe", developed and published by Prism Arts, was released in 2000 for the PlayStation exclusively in Japan.

The game has great graphics, with chunky yet well-modeled cars and overall nice-looking textures. The graphics engine maintains a steady frame rate, showcasing varied locations from Lake Victoria's smooth dirt to Karlstad's snow-laden mountain roads.

The courses are varied and very challenging. There are four car classes, each imparting either a speed increase or additional weight. While the driving experience feels pretty similar across all cars, you'll likely discover one that better suits your preferences. Certain cars excel slightly on dirt tracks but sacrifice top speed, while others offer swifter acceleration but less grip, a common trait found in arcade-style racing games.

The music consists of rock songs, and vehicle engines deliver authentic sounds.

I really enjoyed this game. It's quite difficult, but also very rewarding once you master the different courses and cars. It's not so well-known as other racing games for the PlayStation, but that's probably because it was released exclusively in Japan.
